Poorly Maintained, Crime Ridden & Ineffective Management

They have completely used the pandemic as an excuse to do almost nothing with upkeep. Our landscaping is half dead throughout the complex. Our new flooring in halls is ripping up after just months. Our hallways are dirty, smelly & have chipped paint throughout. Our entry gate is nearly constantly broken. There water & electrical issues. I could write 3 pages on the poor maintenance alone but that’s not the worst thing.

The worst is the direction the management staff has taken. In just over 1...
years time there has been a 100% staff change throughout. All management, maintenance & security staff that used to care & at least try to be accommodating to residents have been replaced. We used to have a manager who lived on site to deal with emergencies that came up after hours. Now everyone is gone home by 5pm & good luck if there’s an emergency because you can rarely find the overnight security officer to deal with it. The staff here now seem overwhelmed by their jobs and the residents are the ones who suffer. It’s a pattern to be told that any part needed for repairs is back ordered and for your maintenance request to then be canceled without completion. On the flip-side of that if you attempt to resubmit claims or make inquiries about grounds maintenance, amenity upkeep, neighbor complaints or anything else you then are labeled as being a complainer & of harassing the staff.

There has also been an uptick in crime on the property. In just the last week there’s been 1 car theft, multiple cars broken into, criminals caught in the act of trying car door & apartment door handles & a homeless man seen sleeping in the pool cabana. I have personally seen police on site 5x this week alone. Yet there’s been no communication from management informing residents to be on alert. The security is sub par at best. As a widow living alone I no longer feel safe on this property.

This is not a place that exudes luxury anymore however we still pay luxury prices and have been subjected to rent increases that are much higher than any previous yearly rent increase we paid before. They also refuse to negotiate on lease terms stating all residents are now offered the same flat fee increase. This is illogical and unfair in a complex whose rental prices can vary by thousands of dollars.

I used to think I had found my forever home but I will be leaving after my current lease. It would nearly take a miracle to turn this place back into the incredible community…it WAS!

Lots of issues

I lived at this property for three years it went through three different property management companies. Even after providing the proper noticed after my lease and they gave me a hard time and had to get a lawyer involved.

The building has had a class-action lawsuit by the tenants in 2015 and at least one death on the property. I moved out earlier this year.

Great Place to Live

We have lived here for 6 months and 6 weeks ago the property was sold and the new owner brought in their own management company.  I rolled my eyes when I heard because this will be the third management company since we have been here.  We relocated here from NY so we didn't miss a thing with what was going on here.  Well I gotta tell you, in five, yes five, weeks they have made Vantage a great place to live.  They evicted at least 15 troublesome tenants, cleaned up the place dramatically (yes... power washed the garages) , brought in a great staff, brought in a true security firm that patrols 24 hours a day with an active must carry cell phone and has weekly special events for the tenants.  They are not fooling around and those of us that have been here for a while are well pleased.  Now I can say Vantage is a really nice place to live.  Kudos to the new owners and their staff
