Grandview Apartments

This apartment complex advertises itself as “luxury,” but it’s far from it. Living here has been the worst decision I’ve ever made, and I’ve only been here a little over a month. The problems started immediately and have only gotten worse. The heating system doesn’t work properly, leaving the apartment freezing during the winter. Despite my repeated complaints, nothing has been fixed. The bedroom window is poorly sealed, allowing cold air to pour in, which makes the heating issues even worse. My... utility bills are sky-high because the furnace runs constantly, while blowing out cool air instead of heat.

Maintenance is completely unprofessional. They’ve come into my apartment multiple times without my permission, and not only have they failed to fix anything, but they’ve also been nosy and invaded my privacy by looking through my personal belongings. This is unacceptable behavior for any apartment, let alone one charging “luxury” prices.

Management is no better. They don’t respect their tenants or take complaints seriously. Instead of addressing issues, they downplay them or outright ignore them. Phone calls to the office go unanswered, and even when you visit in person, nothing gets resolved.

This isn’t just my experience either. I spoke with a neighbor who also said they’ve been dealing with numerous maintenance problems, and if you look through the reviews, you’ll see multiple complaints about heating and AC issues and all multiple other issues that reoccur. The common theme is long delays in getting anything resolved if it ever gets resolved at all. My situation is proof that they often just leave tenants to suffer.

The reality is, this place is outdated and poorly maintained, and tenants are the ones who end up dealing with the consequences. It makes living here unbearable. On top of that, the complex keeps getting bought out by corporations and investors who clearly don’t care about the living conditions or tenant needs. Their only concern is making money off of you.

This complex has 3.8 stars on google for a reason. If you’re thinking about moving in, do your research. Read all the reviews and take them seriously, or you’ll end up stuck in a low-quality, overpriced apartment like I am. The so called luxury apartments here are nothing but a scam. I’ve lived in apartments by Albion for some 7 years and while I love the amenities (Pools, Gym, Courts) the management team adds to the appeal. Hannah has always supported whatever our needs have been for years and has made this a home during my stay.

DO NOT LIVE HERE. If I could give this place 0 stars I would.
This was the WORST living experience I have EVER had. Management is terrible, and maintenance is even worse. If you have an issue don't expect them to be fixed or even looked at. Between having holes in the walls where mice come and go in and trash constantly overflowing out of the dumpster into the parking lot this place is FAR from a luxury to live in. My apartment has been without air for a week while a heat advisor has been going... on. Not once this week has maintenance come out to check our AC or reached out with any updates. I reached out to the leasing office where all I got back was attitude and told maintenance is busy working on many units that are left with no air, but they would get to it as soon as possible. Which I find comical as I see maintenance driving around on a golf cart all day not working one bit. I wish I could say this is the only time maintenance has disregarded service requests, but sadly this happens every time. Sometimes they even mark them as resolved without even coming by the unit to check. All this place has left me with is a headache and frustration. I truly CAN'T wait to move out in a month. Don't waste your money unless you want your living situation to be a nightmare.

Management is incompetent. I requested a walk-through because my lease is up and they would not give me one. I walked into the office and talked to a lady in the back office who said she was to email the maintenance guy and was to CC me on the email. She never did. Never got the walk through. My A/C stopped working at the beginning of the summer, I requested help, requested that they contact me before they come into my apartment which they failed to do. Luckly they could not come in due to my... dog. Took them weeks to even attempt a first entrance, they blamed it on the weather and temperature. They kept double charging my utilities. Stop picking up my calls. At the main pool one of the gates don't work. Dog poop everywhere. Trash compartment breaks every month, fails to give people a notice to move their car a day in advance for new asphalt, then threatens to tow residents cars at our expense. Gates have not worked since I moved in. Nor do the grills or the firepit but they expect us to pay the utilities to maintain the complex. Non residents have been accessing our pool. NOT WORTH LIVING HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH THE WORSE MANAGEMENT TEAM I'VE MET. TAKE YOUR MONEY AND SPEND IT SOMEWHERE NICER. Lee mas

The A/C in my unit has not been working correctly since the start of this summer, management had no solution. They basically just told us we had to deal with it and its going to be hotter in our unit since we are on the top floor (we lived here last summer and when we did have A/C issues it eventually was fixed and would stay cool in our unit) They did give us a window unit, but that just raised our electric bill to $300, and it doesn't cool down the entire apartment.

The trash compactor is... constantly overfilled and/or broken, so trash piles up all around the dumpster.

There are gates by the entrance, but they have been broken the entire time I've lived here.

The package room is always a mess. I've had packages stolen, and I have friends in this complex who have also had packages stolen.

This complex is owned by Village Green, who "manages about 40,000 apartment homes" they do not care about any issues that you are having.

Overall, this is an old, run down complex that charges you way more than they should for rent. There are plenty of newer and nicer builds in the same area with better management. Lee mas
