Do NOT rent here

This place is an absolute joke. My boyfriend has lived here for only one year and my car has been broken into not once, but twice. When we brought this to the attention of their team, they told us that they are not responsible for security onsite. The front gates are almost always broken, the side gates are consistently left open, and there is no regard for tenant safety. The second time my car was broken into the windows were busted out and I was able to identify at least two more cars this... happened to. Not only is car vandalism and theft an issue, but there have been at least 35 different crimes reported within 1000ft of this complex since January 1. STAY AWAY.

Dealing with Management is terrible

Poor experience with office staff. On renewing lease they provide higher quote to the residents compared to what’s offered in their website for new residents.
Also while lease renewal they tend to increase fees like valet trash fee, make cable compulsory with hefty price (doesn’t matter if you don’t even use it once), include fees for checking renters insurance( Resident already pay for renters insurance and then they want extra money to check the status of renters insurance, ridiculous )...
.
Apartment are old and energy efficiency is poor. My electricity bill is double here compared to last apartment at Camden with slightly larger property (energy efficiency is below average per Austin std, check the certificate they have in leasing office).
Oh and yeah for a month both leasing office and spectrum charged me for internet, which they kept sending me to each other for solving the issue which didn’t get resolved.

Also, fire extinguisher was taken from my apartment few months ago for inspection,it has not yet been returned. I created a ticket for this in the resident portal. It was closed by someone without returning the fire extinguisher.

Neighbors are nice and location is good.

Horrible experience

Management is horrendous. They show no interest in handling problems that occur. You couldn't pay me to live here!

These guys are great at "milking" your money!

I have lived here for 3.5 years and from all that experience I can tell you that the management is an expert at fining and adding penalty fees at the slightest of opportunity, having not the least of concern for their tenants.

The first was when I had missed my rent for the first time in 36 months. They went ahead and charged a late fee without any intimation to their tenant. I learnt about it 3 days later when they sent a memo (of course, by this time they had already got the chance to fine me...
twice for two days). I then called them up asking if there was any way they could consider, since this was my first time. They, of course, said, "nope" quite conveniently.

Another incident was at the end of my 3.5 yrs, when I suddenly noticed that I was subtlety being charged a penalty in my rent for a lack of renters insurance, all because they forgot to ask me for the document.
I had sent the document to one of their personnel, Ana (who was quite a task to work with in the first place) the last time.
I guess when my lease was renewed, someone conveniently assumed that I didn't have insurance and of course, took the opportunity to charge me a penalty (without any email notice or anything) and make money off of me.
I was so sick of it and thought, I'm finally moving out and wouldn't have to deal with them anymore, but nope.
Two months after moving out, I get another bill where they've found another opportunity to charge me another penalty!
Ridiculous!

Now of course, I'm going to receive an email from the property manager saying that all of this was in the contract.
Yup! It certainly is all in there and your tenants should be brain-dead to be signing it in the first place. What choice do we have, right?

Oh, and there's more. All what you read about delayed maintenance fixes for weeks together are all true. I bore through all of that.

And there was even one repair person, Dona, who really didnt like the fact that I told her how to do her job once, and took every single opportunity after that to get back at me.

I don't mean to only rant about the bad stuff. In the past 3.5 years, there were a lot of positives, I can say that its a peaceful neighborhood (if you mind your own business), friendly staff for the most of it, a good location and convenience....but stuff like this just overshadows all of that.

Great Location...Great Staff...Very Happy

I have lived here for just over two months...so far I have zero complaints!

Everything has been top notch from the start. I cannot say enough good things about Barbara in the leasing office. She was a blessing from start to finish. I felt extremely well taken care of...she went above and beyond to help get me in the right apartment and made me feel at home from the second I walked in the door. I can say, without hesitation, that I have never met a more caring, genuine, and welcoming...
community representative in the years I have lived in apartment communities.

The complex is quiet, well maintained, and the location is fantastic. It is wonderful to have so many trees surrounding the units and you cannot hear the highway at all from where I am. All I hear at night are the sounds of the trees outside...cicadas and such.

The maintenance staff has been quick to respond to my two requests. They quickly came and installed my washer and dryer and replace a light fixture. There have been zero issues with the maintenance of the apartment in general.

I could not be happier with my selection of a community!
