Poor value for high cost
The property is beautiful and well kept, but it is poorly built. While you are told when looking at the property that you can easily hear the neighbors above you, it does not prepare you for the reality nor does it help justify the cost of the property. In our time with Sinclair, we had three different tenants move in and out above us (which is telling in and of itself). 80% of our living experience was spent complaining of noise. Maintenance responded quickly, but it didn't mean the problem was... solved. We spent about 6 months or more of our 12 month lease trying to get our AC fixed. In that time, we spent a great deal more on our energy bill because our AC would run beyond the set temperature, which maintenance said was the installed thermostat. After about 10 maintenance requests, they eventually figured this out, but would leave our AC running whenever they would service our apartment. We would also be told we'd receive a follow-up to service requests that required one and never did. We also had two water leaks, but thankfully neither impacted our belongings. Additionally, the appliances are old and inefficient. Seemingly due to humidity in the hallways, our refrigerator rusted. I had to have our dryer serviced multiple times because it would take 2-3 runs to get our clothing dry. It would also build up lint in the apartment as well as the outside ducts, which is a tremendous fire hazard to the building. Overall, we expected more for the money spent.
