THINK TWICE BEFORE MOVING TO THAT PLACE
BUGS: Regardless of how clean you keep apartment, there will be HUGE cockroaches inside, and outside in the entire hallway. We had to call pest control several times to come spray the apartment, and we still had cockroaches, spiders, and other creatures that we have no idea what they were inside the apartment.
MOLD: While we stayed there, we had mold in the kitchen, and both bathroom; meanwhile, my girlfriend has asthma. We sent several emails to the office regarding that, but they never... replied to us. They finally replied, and sent someone after contacting Houston Housing Authority.
CAR BROKEN INTO: I've had two cars while I stayed at this apartment, and both of them got broken into.
POOL: The pool is closed for maintenance half the time. At one point the community was concerned because they found an open condom in the pool, meanwhile, there are kids using that pool whenever it is open.
GARAGE: I have personally witnessed the garage door closed and messed up someone's car while driving in. There's always a line of cars waiting for residents to drive in so they can quickly drive in behind them. It's like a zoo with that garage. Drivers will enter where the exit sign is and exit where the entrance is if the gate takes too long to open.
TRASH AND VALET TRASH: The hallway always smelled bad. Many residents do not leave their trash in the bins. They just put the trash outside their apartment without the provided bins and outside pick-up trash hours. Bags of trash will stay in the hallway for days until trash pick-up day. The community was frustrated because we were paying a monthly valet trash fee, that was not optional, but they were barely picking them up even on pick up days.
SMELL OF MARIJUANA: This is supposed to be a smoke-free environment, the hallway always smells like marijuana.
NOISE: I worked from home when I lived at that apartment. The neighbors above were constantly loud, shouting at the kids, dropping heavy things, and galloping like horses. I emailed management about it and talked to Trenton, the manager, about it IN PERSON. ABSOLUTELY nothing was done about it.
PET AREA: Only a handful of residents clean after their pets. They will bring their pets to the pet area, but will not clean after their pets defecate.
STOLEN PACKAGES: Unless your package is placed inside the Luxer One box that they have at that place, you risk losing your package. Over my 2 years at the Jaxon, residents have sent countless emails about losing their packages.
