Rats!!!!!
RATS!!!! My apt had rats. It took more than 4 days to get to my request for pest control. I heard noise coming from the kitchen a few nights in the row. I thought it was maybe the people under me because they have very thin walls and you can hear your neighbors at times. I didn’t think much of it, until I noticed that my bagel bag had a hole in it that I had just purchased. The next day I had a huge bite in my taco shells it was more than CLEAR that a rat had bit into it. I immediately left and... went to a friends house until I heard back from them once I put in the pest control request.
It took them 4 days to get back to me. I went into the office to speak with them directly. This is when I requested I get a vacation suite apt until they take care of the matter which is URGENT. They expected me to sit in the rat infested apartment until they figured it out as if that’s safe. I stayed in the suite for one day/night as the maintenance manager sealed the hole that the rats were coming through. They advised me that pest control would come out and give me an update everything and they did not.
I had already decided not to renew my lease more than 60 days in advance. I did consider downsizing, but did not do so because of this whole rat situation also I made sure to do this on time through the portal.
Once I moved out they charged my account the full month of RENT because they claimed I did not give them 60days notice which I did. Mind you they charged me after moving out and seeing my final balance.
They are ignoring all my emails and will not give me a reason to why they charged me thar amount. I would sleep in my car or with a family member before staying at a rat infested “luxury apartment”. Also the gates never work!! So anyone can come in…
Save yourself some time and look elsewhere.
