Among the worst! Stay away!
There're many things wrong here in these newly-built apartments. I just don't know where to begin. But let me try.
1. The paint job is low quality. So if you touch it even lightly, it leaves a mark! Also, they painted only once over the drywall, so we can see the drywall!!
2. There's a heater in each unit. The units aren't strong enough. The company bought cheap units so they could save money. Tenants convenience and warmth meant NOTHING to them. The heat doesn't blow into other bedroom(s). So,... the entire apartment is cold, especially in the bedrooms. And I mean it's freezing. This is the problem in ALL units. The AC, too, doesn't keep the apartment cool for the same reason.
3. The bedroom floors have carpet, but they didn't put wood on top of the concrete floor so they could save even more money. The result? VERY cold floors.
4. Caulking is already falling apart throughout the apartment because the cheap, foreign labor they hired did a poor job. The maintenance staff is saying the buildings are caving in! Already when this place was built just recently?!
5. Bedroom and closet doors don't close well or you could see through the frame and the door when they're closed! So, either there's less privacy or just doors don't close shut due to cheap labor that's ended in VERY POOR workmanship and now this mess!
6. The ceiling vents are on 24/7. That sucks up any heat in the apartment resulting in constant coldness!
7. Drywall nails are sticking out! This should NEVER happen. NEVER.
8. Some corners in the apartment walls and ceilings are already separating due to caulking inadequate and poor caulk and drywall work.
9. And more!!!
10. One item that's good is we can have pets. So, our dog is happy no matter what! :)
Cheap and inexperienced labor and insisting on saving money costs much more in the long run. But these jobs have been done so poorly that things falling apart won't be taking that long. There are already MANY dissatisfied and unhappy tenants in just a short time of less than four months since we all started moving in.
This project should've never been given Certificate of Occupany by the City.
