Poor management, poor condition of apartments
I’m a little late on this review but between the previous owners and the new owners, not much has changed. They kept hiking up the rent without realizing that renters also have rights. Rights to have clean and new carpets and functioning things like plumbing and laundry room items, dish washers etc. For a long time nothing was said because they would provide a $5 fix for something small and come back with a rent increase anywhere between $50 up to $250 per month! These rates were different to... every tenant even though some of the apartments were identical in their layout. Why were some people charged more than others? I understand if it varies by size of apartments but it did not. It was completely selective. I’m not an expert but I’m about 100% sure there’s mold in some of the units. Mold kills people. They still don’t care, but I’m sure they will when the buildings collapse or someone dies due to mold. That being said, the only changes new management made were for their benefit only which was to have the tenants pay for water now. We all share it and some use more than others and there’s nothing anyone can do to control it. The hose gets used outside and I don’t know who pays for that and no one can tell us either. Legally, this looks really bad on management’s behalf. Especially the condition of the units which are a health hazard and are falling apart. If you are ok with mold, termites, excessive ants that never go away because the apartment “is built on an ant hill” (not my words), and constant floods and leaks within the walls then by all means this is the place to be.
