About The Blackstone Apartments
The Blackstone Apartments were built in 1923 and was better known as the Blackstone Hotel. This historic landmark exemplifies the development of high-rise residential structures on Ocean Boulevard in the twenties. Along with it’s neighboring... buildings, it is a strong visual link to an important period in the history of Long Beach. This Renaissance Revival architectural style is typical of high-rise buildings of the period. It was built as part of Long Beach’s economic boom in the twenties, in which the combination of new jobs and the city’s prominence as a beach resort created a surge in a demand for new housing. Today, the Blackstone Apartments is home to tenants of all ages. It is now seen as a unique and charming old-style living. The Blackstone has 106 studio-style and one bedroom units and is located across from the Pike and the Aquarium of the Pacific in the heart of downtown Long Beach. It is one block away from Pine street and is surrounded by shops, restaurants, businesses, nightclubs, and various transportation lines. The Blackstone offers very affordable living, especially compared to its neighbors and provides a friendly and peaceful living ambiance. If that weren’t enough, living at the Blackstone includes all utilities paid. The Blackstone Apartments are wonderfully unique in its own right.

Great Location!
You can't beat the price of the Blackstone for the area it is in. You are walking distance from The Pike Outlets, various shops and dining on Pine, Shoreline Village, public transportation, etc. There are many activities in the nearby vicinity that make the area a great place to live in and community is relatively safe with cameras on every corner, a high police presence, and the management. They even try to give back to the residents by throwing periodic parties and meet and greet activities.... Unfortunately though, the apartments are very small. And with the building being so old many utilities are interconnected and it's not uncommon to encounter a pest problem. Ultimately though, you cant beat the price and the location.
