I live here and wouldn’t recommend it

My shower can take up to 15-20 minutes to heat up. Maintenance just made it so hot is cold/cold is hot and didn’t fix the problem. Also, none of the electrical outlets along the kitchen wall work.

There’s also the restaurant that was supposed to be built downstairs which never came. And the front door was broken into.

Also, the neighborhood is extremely sketchy. They try to pitch it to you as an “cute up and coming place” It’s actually a really bad, ugly area. There’s a lot of crime and...
really close to the apartment (I follow on the Citizen app). People have even spray painted “Gentrifiers” with an arrow pointing to this apartment right in front of the building.

Not to mention the people selling/buying crack in the alley and the lady that rides around on her bike screaming at people and huffing computer cleaner. She’s yelled at me and other neighbors I’ve talked to while walking our dogs. And there’s no nice grass to even walk your dog. In some areas I always have to pick my dog up because there’s glass everywhere.

There’s also this awful huge white tank outside that has been there for MONTHS it looks hideous and the place smells disgusting. Also there’s constantly road/sewer work being done all around the building 24/7.

Building management sucks. They allow the neighbor around the corner to have a fire pit but wouldn’t allow me, telling me “Personal items may not be stored outside of units and fire pits cannot be lit due to it being a fire hazard” BUT THE NEIGHBOR AROUND THE CORNER CAN. Also, they gave someone that moved in literally right after me free parking for a year but apparently I “didn’t qualify for that offer” They seem to favor some residents and treat others like sh*t.

When the Covid renters policy changed to where you have to pay 25% not to get evicted it took me at least a week after to get my unemployment and they literally came at me immediately threatening eviction if I didn’t pay the 25%. They don’t care about their residents, only their checks.

The mail situation is also horrible. Lost/missing packages. Every neighbor I talked to complained of this also. Two other neighbors I’ve talked to about living here said they felt like they were fooled and now “everything is falling apart” and they wish they never moved here.

Also, there’s no amenities which aren’t advertised but there’s way better luxury apartments that literally have the same rent with pools, BBQs, gyms etc. So do your research if you’re thinking about moving here.
