If you are desperate for a hold out place.

I unfortunately lived at Harbor Point for nearly five years, due to the rough nature of the recession. I don't choose to live here, but must out of necessity but slowly climbing out and aiming to move to a more ideal living situation. The rent is probably the cheapest in the area I could find.

That being said, you get what you paid for. Although I have no problems with the people who run the complex, I've dealt with better service, it's really a hit or miss here.

But let me get to the big red...
flags. Mainly, this place is overrun by Cockroaches. Even after getting them to spray my apartment multiple times, using every single bait trap and trick in the book, there's a serious infestation of Cockroaches - to the point where I'm used to them. Be prepared to swat Cockroaches on a daily basis.

The water heater is ancient and has turned off numerous times, and they don't make any moves to replace it, they'll just relight it for me after asking multiple times, only for it to die some time later and have nothing but cold water. Again, the people who run this complex are generally nice, but a bit slow at their job. Another big red flag is the kids playing all over the complex, banging their skateboards at 10 o clock at night. They play in small mobs yelling and screaming, obstructing in and out traffic into the complex, and also provide a big road hazard.

Such occurences show they don't reinforce policies as much as they should. Neighbors are extremely messy with their patios/balconies, and often are very loud with their music and conversations even late at night. The surrounding area is very shady, lots of bums/meth users asking for money, strip club across the street... always see police cars in the complex every other month.

Guest parking is nearly non existent and obnoxious. Cars WILL be towed so play it safe and always park YOUR car in your designated spot nowhere else and not with someone else' car.

Would I recommend this place? A solid NO. If you can put up with a lot and desperately need a place - I'd check it out for yourself first. I should wrap up by stating that I'm a very nice tolerant person, and it takes a lot for me to complain but man... good luck with this complex.
