Heights of Kennesaw Apartments

I was very surprised at the amount of space in the apartment.It definitely has a lot of amenities for families. My experience with Brandon and Kristi was excellent. They are very knowledgeable and professional. The apartment homes are very nice.

I left my apartment here in June 2021 after 2 years. This may take a little while to write out because this was by far the worst renting experience I had in over 10 years of renting…

The leasing office staff were consistently rude and passive aggressive to me, even though I always paid my rent on time. Their weight lifting room was being “remodeled” for over a year, so I was pretty much never able to use it. The pool hours were not reasonable and I was often locked out at times someone would... expect to want to use it.

Since I had a terrace level apartment, palmetto bugs (cockroaches) were a common inside occurrence. Even though it is a gated community, solicitors were an infrequent occurrence- especially during the 2020 election season. When I called the front office, staff would shrug off my neighbors and my concerns about the solicitors’ presence.

Staff would often perform inspections every other month, and sometimes back-to-back months, which I considered to be a major invasion of privacy. Although I always maintained a well-kept apartment, on one occasion, staff noticed a water bowl on the ground and asserted that I had an animal living there. Despite my objections that the bowl was there for my visiting significant other’s dog, who came there the previous weekend, staff denied any right to appeal and applied a $300 non-refundable pet deposit, along with a monthly pet fee. There was also a standard “online convenience fee” of $20 (maybe $30?) a month, but they wouldn’t accept payment any other way, so it was just another junk fee.

I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere when apartment hunting, getting locked into a lease agreement here will surely disappoint. Lee mas

The property itself is decent. Needs more lighting outside, so I would suggest walking your dog early or it will be pitch black. Maintenance are quicks to fix issues. Office staff are rude and no help. They will tell you one thing and do the opposite. They blame their mistakes on you and continue to raise their rates, while not improving their apartments. The gate is always broken but they will make you get a gate key. If you care about your sanity DO NOT STAY HERE.

I have lived in the Heights of Kennesaw apartments since 2011. The quality of living is very nice but the customer service from the front office and maintenance team is unlike any that you will find at other complexes. They go above and beyond to make you feel like you are living in a home and not just an apartment. They treat you as if you are family.

This is a nice place but things need to be fixed... our dumpster area is very nasty. The mail room (USPS mail) is never locked up.
