Very poorly built

I hate to be writing this because the management company is great. But these townhomes are so poorly built that I'd be careful if looking to rent here. We have had more issues just within a few months versus anywhere else we've lived for years. A few examples - when we first moved in, there was gas leaking right outside our window. We had issues with our AC (we'll see if it still is broken come spring). Our main level flooded one night due to cracks in the shower floor.
There's tons of drafts... throughout the townhouse, which is very cold in the winter. I also can't keep the fireplace on very long because it gets sooo0000 noisy that I can't even hear the TV over it... just kinda odd?

Everyone is very nice but it’s clear that these townhomes were built extremely fast. There are also chips in the walls, dinged up baseboards, etc. And keep in mind, these are brand new so I feel like there shouldn’t be this many problems.

Update: Just moved it down to 1 star because our townhouse just flooded a second time. Mind you, this place isn’t even a year old yet. There’s definitely a lot of water damage in the ceilings, but I guess that’s their problem. We definitely can’t wait to get out of here soon.

Fine place to live, but read the fine print

Lived in a Stone Haven townhome for about a year before moving out. Appliances were wonderful, spacing nice, and a quick drive to Rochester. Plus, having your own garage and being pet friendly is a plus. But you can definitely tell that the properties were completed too quickly with less than optimal care (baseboards missing in under stair storage, rushed or unfinished painting, floorboards coming up, flat paint that leaves any mark you make).

Our experience with the property managers was not... so great. Our face to face interactions with staff were positive, but communicating through email and through their portal was slow. We were surprised that some maintenance requests were unfulfilled, such as touch ups to our walls and replacement filters for our appliances. At times, we had to use language in the lease to get assistance. Their customer service, while positive in person, leaves many things to be desired.

Overall, a fine place to live, but property management has a long way to go to be more resident friendly.
