RENTER BEWARE!
1 Star — Maple District Lofts Is a Masterclass in How NOT to Run a Property
“Luxury living” shouldn’t mean broken gates, pests, overflowing trash, and management that disappears when issues escalate — yet here we are.
Trash Everywhere (Now With Locks):
Dumpsters overflow, common areas stay filthy, and residents leave trash and cat litter on patios. Instead of fixing the problem, management locked the trash room, making disposal harder because they can’t keep up.
Broken Gates, Open Access:
The... gates are constantly broken. Anyone can walk or drive in. So much for safety.
Ongoing Pest Issues:
Sprays happen. Infestations remain.
Safety? Optional:
Homeless individuals regularly sleep in stairwells. These reports go largely ignored.
Security Is a Buzzword:
Courtesy officers don’t respond. I called five times during a blocked garage incident — nothing. Non-resident pool parties go unchecked.
Documented Incidents:
• A car blocked the garage all day and damaged another vehicle — no action taken.
• Police confirmed a woman squatting in the parking lot after I found her passed out.
Housekeeping That Doesn’t Clean:
The same trash sits in hallways for days.
Billing Games:
Their system falsely claims rent attempts, then adds NSF fees. Even with proof, fees aren’t removed.
Copy-Paste Management:
Robotic responses. No accountability.
Suspicious Review Cleanup:
After negative reviews, sudden 5-star posts from people who only toured appeared — not reflective of resident experience.
Final Straw:
BBB complaints were necessary. Regional management was dismissive and hostile.
Unacceptable Reality:
Homeless individuals and drug users lived in a vacant unit for an extended period. Management didn’t know. Residents were never notified.
Why One Star:
The leasing agent is the only competent, communicative person on staff.
Bottom line:
Do. Not. Rent. Here.
You’ll pay premium prices for filth, pests, broken security, and negligence.
