Decent, but not great
726 S Santa Fe is a work/live loft building on Seventh and Santa Fe in the Arts District.
The neighborhood is growing very fast and rents are changing accordingly. Our landlord raised the rent $300 in a year (you read that right). While this seems like it's illegal, I think they get away with it because it's "work/live."
In any case, they aren't terrible landlords, though they aren't particularly great ones either. They are responsive and are very hands-off, which can be a good thing and a... bad thing. They do have a tendency to do everything on the cheapest possible end, though.
The area is cool, but the air quality is TERRIBLE. It smells like sewage constantly and there are so many trucks that go buy you can smell the bad air. That said, a "air treatment plant" just opened up nearby so maybe that will help.
This is a good place I think for an artists studio, not really as a place to live. It's extremely hip, right next to Bestia and Stumptown and near the new Soho house. But you're definitely paying a BIG premium for the location in comparison to what you're getting.
